Thread City Cyclers, a local bicycle riding club, will open its spring season of riding on Saturday, April 5. TCC schedules organized group rides every Saturday from April to October, starting at North Windham School on Route 203 in North Windham.
Saturday's rides will begin at 10:00 a.m. As with all group rides sponsored by Thread City Cyclers, rules of the road are strictly enforced, focusing on safety of the riders and courtesy toward pedestrians and motorized vehicles. The club rides all have designated ride leaders, and larger groups will include a lieutenant. All rides are "no drop" with the exception of the A+ group. The beginner ride of approximately ten miles always starts at 8:00, including the rides in April and May that start a little later.
For more information about the rides or about Thread City Cyclers, please consult the web page. The club is 150 members strong, with members hailing from Franklin and Canterbury and Vernon and Eastford and all points in between.
