In addition, Hartford HealthCare at Home, formerly VNA East, is hosting a free hospice volunteer training Tuesdays and Thursdays in March at their Mansfield office. Classes will explore the history of hospice, physical symptoms, spirituality, grief and bereavement, and what to do as a volunteer.

Volunteers visit in homes and nursing facilities based on their individual schedule. Volunteers are needed to read to patients, provide a listening ear, provide Reiki, play music, and to visit with certified pet therapy teams.
