Hot Flashes Taking The Stage At Bread Box Holiday Show

WILLIMANTIC, CT — The Hot Flashes will be performing their Holiday/Christmas concert series at the Bread Box Theater in Willimantic this month, blending upbeat, fun and familiar songs with more contemplative quiet music coupled with the Flashes’ captivating on-stage camaraderie.

The event is slated for Dec. 17 at the Bread Box home base — St. Paul's at 220 Valley St. Tickets are $20 and proceeds will benefit the Covenant Soup Kitchen. In 15 years, Bread Box has raided more than $250,000 for the regional provider of meals.

The show will feature the lush three-part harmonies of Amy Gallatin, Gail Wade, and Peggy Harvey and the Hot Flash signature instrumentation of guitar, fiddle, mandolin, banjo, sax, harmonica, standup bass and resophonic guitar.

"The concert offers a welcome respite from the holiday rush, with an afternoon of simple moments to treasure and a chance to slow down and savor the season," local music icon Bruce John said. Take a moment to relax and enjoy a truly unique holiday event."

Refreshments will be on sale at intermission.
