STORRS, CT — On Saturday, students at the University of Connecticut will be hosting their
annual HuskyTHON Dance Marathon to celebrate their year-long fundraising effort for the patients and families at Connecticut Children's Medical Center.

It's 25th year of the event.

HuskyTHON is a year-long fundraising effort benefiting CCMC. All fundraising efforts culminate in an 18 hour dance marathon, where more than 4,200 UConn students gather in the Hugh S.
Greer field house from 6 a.m. to midnight.

Last year, HuskyTHON raised $1,480,255 and the total now stands at more than $11 million raised since its start in 1999.

HuskyTHON is the largest student-run organization at UConn, the largest by participant size in the Children's Miracle Network Dance Marathon network and one of the largest fundraisers for CCMC.

In addition to the monetary impact, HuskyTHON has an immense impact on the UConn community, uniting thousands of students under "one greater purpose," organizers said. The theme of HuskyTHON 2024 community is, "Build the Moment."

At Midnight on Saturday into Sunday, HuskyTHON organizers will reveal their final fundraising total and conclude the fundraising year.
