Juvenile Scuffles With Troopers in Mansfield: Report

A juvenile is facing charges after scuffling with state police, a report says.

MANSFIELD, CT — A juvenile has a date in court later this week after scuffling with state police during an altercation on Royce Circle, an arrest report indicates.

At 4:31 p.m. on May 8, state police were called to the area near 12 Royce Circle for an active disturbance, according to an arrest report.

Troopers located two juveniles in the midst of an argument just down the road at 8 Royce Circle, according to an arrest report. One tried to flee on foot when troopers began questioning the two but was quickly chased down, according to an arrest report.

One juvenile actively resisted arrest, state police said, and was charged with that crime, along with assault on a police office, second-degree breach of peace, third-degree assault.

The juvenile was released to a guardian and given a juvenile court date of May 18, state police said.
