Large Donations to UConn Increasing, Report Shows
The UConn Foundation's 2Q report was recently released.

STORRS, CT — Major gifts to the University of Connecticut have increased more than 30 percent from the same point a year ago, the UConn Foundation's second-quarter report shows.
According to the report, the Foundation’s fundraising total for the 2016-17 fiscal year, as of Dec. 31, total just more than $32 million, on pace for the goal of $85 million.
The report indicates UConn has 16 Principal Gift commitments totaling nearly $30 million for the fiscal year, rated “highly likely” to close by the end of the fiscal year. Principal Gifts are those totaling $500,000 or more.

Major Gifts, classified as $25,000 to $499,999, have increased of 30.5 percent and the number of donors in the Major Gift category have increased by 25.7 percent since the same point a year ago, according to the report.
