Last Week for Price Chopper, Salvation Army Annual Holiday Toy Drive

Price Chopper’s annual Holiday Toy Drive, in partnership with The Salvation Army and Lang Media, will wrap up this weekend, so that the toys can be sorted and distributed to local communities. In addition to the toy drive, the Golub Foundation will make a donation of $.50 for each toy donated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Northeast New York.

Toy collection sites are available in each of Price Chopper’s 134 stores in New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania and Vermont and will be available through Saturday, Dec. 13. The Salvation Army will distribute the toys to children in need within the communities that the toys were donated, using a similar distribution system to the school supplies collected through Price Chopper’s Tools for Schools “School Supply Drive” each year.

“Price Chopper and the Golub Foundation are proud to be the catalyst behind this Holiday Toy Drive and to lend the accessibility of our stores to the collection of toys for local children whose families need a little help putting presents under the tree,” said Mona Golub, Price Chopper’s VP of public relations and consumer services. “We’re thankful for the collective generosity of our teammates, shoppers and partners for this annual effort.”
This year, the Holiday Toy Drive aims to collect more than 20,000 toys for children throughout the region and donate up to $5,000 to Make-A-Wish Foundation.
