March 26

ELLINGTON, CT β€” An incident at the Meadow Brook apartment complex led to the arrest of an East Hasrtford man for failing to appear in court on a narcotics possession charge, state police said. Kevin Levesque, 29, was arrested at 4:30 a.m. and held until the following day on a $25,000 bond, state police said.

WILLINGTON, CT β€” Sometime between March 23 and March 26, a black-and-white 2012 Yamaha YZFR6 motorcycle was stolen from the parking lot at the Cedar Ridge apartment complex, 43 Burt Latham Road, state police said. Witnesses can call 860-896-3200.

TOLLAND, CT β€” A Tolland man spent a good portion of the weekend in a jail cell on a six-figure bond after his arrest on Friday in an assault case, state police said. Charles Johnston, 50, of Tolland Stage Road, was involved in a domestic disturbance on Friday and was charged with disorderly conduct and third-degree assault, state police said. As he was being booked, however, he continued to make threats against the "victim" and state police added a threatening and slapped a $100,000 bond on his case, according to an arrest report. He was held while awaiting a Monday court appearance, state police said in a report.

MANSFIELD, CT β€” A Storrs man is facing three criminal charges after a domestic disturbance on Hanks Hill Road, state police said. Aleksi Javanainen, 20, who lives on Hanks Hill Road, was allegedly following someone around a property on his road while stumbling and shouting expletives because he wanted a ride to work , according to an arrest report, He was intoxicated, state police said. He was charged with disorderly conduct, violation of probation and violating a restraining order, state police said.

MANSFIELD, CT β€” Miguel Acosta, 45, of Hartford, was charged with sixth-degree larceny after he was allegedly caught shoplifting at the local Kohl's, state police said.

SOMERS, CT β€” A failure to appear charge was slapped on a Somers man who was already in trouble with a fifth-degree larceny charge, state police said. Zachary Smith, 19, of Quality Avenue, Somers, was originally arrested on Nov. 29 and skipped a Dec. 29, court date, according to a police report.

March 22

MANSFIELD, CT β€” Ryan Bishop, 21, of Willimantic, was charged with third-degree criminal mischief, interfering and disorderly conduct after a 911 call was placed to state police from a Stafford Road residence with a loud disturbance in the background, according to a police report. When state police arrived, Bishop allegedly advanced toward state police in an aggressive manner while waving his arms, according to a report. He was led to the ground and was drooling and yelling at a trooper while being handcuffed, state police said.

TOLLAND, CT β€” Jason Matthewson, 33, of River Road, Willington, was charged with second-degree burglary, criminal attempt at second-degree burglary and third-degree larceny for a January incident on Tolland Stage Road, state police said.
