ELLINGTON, CT β Richard Kumor, 26, of Crystal Ridge Drive, Ellington, was charged with threatening and disorderly conduct for an incident near his home, state police said. He threatened another person, causing alarm, according to an arrest report.

ELLINGTON, CT β At about 7 p.m., a 2002 Ford Taurus left the road and took out a road sign on Stafford Road, state police said. The car also slammed into a rock ledge embankment, state police said.

TOLLAND, CT β A Vernon man has been charged with drunken driving for apparently shooting up heroin while behind the wheel or a car, according to a state police report. Samuel Stocks, 44, of 13 Spruce St., Vernon, admitted to using heroin and troopers found used bags and needles on the front, passenger seat according to an arrest report. Stocks was charged with driving under the influence, evading responsibility, driving without a license and possessing drug paraphernalia, according to an arrest report.
MANSFIELD, CT β State police are looking for an armed, masked bandit who mugged a 66-year-old man on Fern Road. The incident took place on Thursday at 9:23 p.m., near Fern Road and Scottron Drive, state police said. The victim said he was approached by an armed male who was wearing a mask, who took his money after a scuffle, state police said. Anyone who may have witnessed anything suspicious in the area can call state police at the Troop C barracks, 860-896-3200.
