MANSFIELD, CT — A hour-long nap at a McDonald's drive-through in Mansfield turned into an unhappy meal in the state police lockup for one driver.

At 3:38 a.m. on March 12, state troopers were alerted to a driver who had been asleep at the wheel of a Jeep Grand Cherokee for more than an hour at the Storrs Road McDonald's

The SUV was in the drive-through lane, according to an arrest report.

When state police questioned the driver, a 31-year-old woman from Lebanon, troopers not only suspected she was intoxicated, but located narcotics paraphernalia in the vehicle.

The woman subsequently failed a sobriety test and was arrested for driving under the influence and second-offense possession of a controlled substance, a report shows.
