Man Found In Mansfield Basement Facing Several Charges

A Maryland man is facing criminal charges after being found in the basement of a Mansfield home, state police said.

MANSFIELD, CT — A Maryland man is facing criminal charges after being found in the basement of a Mansfield home, state police said.

At 1:53 a.m. Saturday, residents at a home along the 1100 block of Storrs Road came home and discovered the home had been broken into, according to a report.

When state police arrived, they found 20-year-old Kai Jaron Brewer, of Colora, MD, in the basement, according to a report. State police described him in a report as being "heavily intoxocated."

Brewer was charged with third-degree burglary, third-degree criminal trespass, third-degree criminal mischief and criminal impersonation.
