Man Who Died In Fall At UConn Parking Garage Identified As Student
A UConn student who died after a fall from a parking garage last week has been identified.

STORRS, CT — The man who died after falling from the South Parking Garage at the University of Connecticut last week was a 20-year-old fine arts student, university officials said.
The Office Of The Chief Medical Examiner told Patch that his cause of death was a suicide due to a head injury.
In a message to students, university officials said Jackson Carneiro, of Milford, MA, was in the School of Fine Arts studying digital media design. Carneiro enrolled at UConn in the fall of 2022. His academic concentration was 3D animation, officials said.

Last Thursday morning, UConn officials reported that someone had fallen from a "high level" of the garage. The man, later identified as Carneiro, was taken to Windham Hospital with serious injuries and later pronounced dead.
