Manager Accused of Stealing $12K From Mansfield Restaurant
A manager at a Mansfield restaurant is accused of systematic theft, state police said.

MANSFIELD, CT — An employee of a Storrs Center burger joint is accused of skimming more than $12,000 from the business, state police said.
Christopher Releford, 24, of Hartford, was charged with second-degree larceny on June 13, state police said. He is due in court on June 27.
Relford was a manager at Mooyah Burgers at 1 Dog Lane, according to a warrant. in February, the owner told police that a manager, identified as Releford, had been stealing the nightly deposits. The total amount taken was about $12,500, according to a warrant.

The missing deposits were from early December to late January and ranged from $115.84 to $1,343,73, according to a warrant.
Each missing deposit corresponded with a day Releford worked, according to a warrant.
