Mansfield-Area Entrepreneurs Can Weigh In On Free Business Plan Workshop

Eastern's Small Business Resource Center is surveying local businesses about a free workshop, with two November evenings proposed.

Local business owners and entrepreneurs can help shape a free business plan workshop being planned by Eastern Connecticut State University's Small Business Resource Center. The center is seeking input on interest and scheduling, according to an announcement published by the Northeastern Connecticut Chamber of Commerce.

The workshop would serve people writing their first business plan or updating an existing one. A business plan outlines goals, strategies, target markets and financial projections.

The interest survey proposes Monday, Nov. 16, or Wednesday, Nov. 18, from 6 to 8 p.m. on either date. Those options are tentative, and other dates and times may be considered based on responses. No workshop location or survey deadline is specified.

Business owners can complete the interest survey, which takes less than two minutes, according to the form. It asks for contact information, business plan experience, preferred availability and topics participants would like covered.

The center also has a business intake form available through its Small Business Resource Center page. Owners and entrepreneurs can use it to explore connections with classes, student interns, workshops and networking events. Questions can be sent to sbrc@easternct.edu.
