Mansfield Center Named A Top Place To Live In Connecticut

MANSFIELD, CT — Mansfield Center is one of the Top 20 places to live in Connecticut, according to the online portal Niche.

Niche.com is designed to connect students to schools and communities. It released the 2023 Best Places to Live in America rankings Monday. It is the ninth consecutive year that Niche has produced the rankings.

Niche creates the annual Best Places to Live rankings by using data from sources such as the U.S. Census, FBI, Bureau of Labor Statistics and CDC combined with millions of resident reviews. The company considers factors such as affordability, the local housing market, neighborhood diversity, area public schools, walkability and more.

Mansfield Center made No. 18 on the list.

"Living in Mansfield Center offers residents a rural feel and most residents own their homes," Niche said. "In Mansfield Center there are a lot of parks. Many retirees live in Mansfield Center and residents tend to be liberal. The public schools in Mansfield Center are highly rated."

Housing received positive scores with the median home value cited at $224,300 and the median rent at $1,163
