Mansfield Drive-In Opening Dates Announced For Movies, Flea Market

MANSFIELD, CT — Opening dates have been announced for both the Mansfield Marketplace and the spring movie season at the Mansfield Drive-In.

The flea market is slated to open for the 2024 season on March 24. The market runs every Sunday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., rain or shine, throughout the spring, summer and fall.

The 15,000-square-foot indoor market has its own snack bar, a variety of vendors, and handicapped accessible bathrooms. The outdoor space can host 300-plus vendors.

Indoors or out, shoppers will find many new and used items, including plants, produce, antiques and collectibles, clothing, crafts, jewelry, tools and toys. Parking for buyers is $3 per car.

Vendors can reserve by the month (860-456-2578). Vendors can also set up at the flea market for just one day by showing up any Sunday as early as 7 a.m.

The spring opening of the Mansfield Drive-in Theatre is set for April 5. The theater will show "the latest movies as well as classic favorites," with double features on each of the 3 big screens.

The drive-in is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday through mid-June and every night in the summer.

Movies for opening night are still to be determined.

The Mansfield Drive-in has been in operation since 1954.
