Now we'd like to ask a few questions about your reasons for running and your general views on politics and government. First, why are you seeking this office?

I feel that participation in local government is a way to give back to my community. I have always voted in every election, but now that I am partially retired, I have more time to volunteer in my community. Running for office is one of the ways I feel I can help people.

Please complete this statement: The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is \_\_\_, and this is what I intend to do about it.

Affordable housing. The position I am running for will not address this issue, but I have talked to people in our local government who are actively looking for ways to increase the stock of affordable housing in our community.

What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?

I have been running unopposed for this office. It is a job that most people don't really want to do, but it is an important job and by serving on the BAA I feel I can help people who have unresolved issues with their real estate assessments.

If you are challenging an incumbent, in what way has the current officeholder failed the community?

NA

What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?

I would like to encourage everyone to participate in our democratic process and vote.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

I have already served two terms and know how the process works.

What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?

Never give up and always be on time!

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions?

I also am currently serving on the Human Rights Commission and as a volunteer for the MRC or Medical Reserve Corps where I have assisted in vaccination clinics and trained for emergency situations.
