Mansfield Man Accused of Ripping Off Vets Group to Pay for Online Peep Shows Gets Prison Time
The man used the embezzled money to pay for online porn and personal purchases, documents say.

VERNON, CT — A Mansfield man accused of embezzling more than $100,000 from a Willington-based veterans group for personal purchases and online voyeur sites has been sentenced to two-and-a-half years in prison, court records indicate.
Frederick Brown, 72, of 99 Birchwood Heights, Mansfield, entered a guilty plea to first-degree larceny on Friday. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison, suspended after 30 months, according to court records. He was also given five years probation, according to court records.
Brown was arrested by state police in Dec, 2015.

He had been in charge of the Willington Veterans of Foreign Wars post finances and had been accused of spending most of the more than $100,000 the post had on-hand after a property sale, according to police and court records.
A warrant outlines an alleged spending spree by Brown on online live cam sites on which men gather to see women. Brown was the quartermaster of the Willington VFW post.
