Mansfield Man Charged for Crowbar Incident: Cops

MANSFIELD, CT — A Mansfield man was charged with third-degree assault and third-degree criminal trespass after an incident with a crowbar last Saturday, state police said.

Timothy Sawyer, 35, of Bassett's Bridge Road, was arrested at 10 p.m., according to an arrest report.

He went to a private residence on Stafford road and threatened to hit someone with a crowbar, according to a report.

After troopers arrived, Sawyer refused to leave and had to be restrained, state police said.
