Mansfield Town Manager Placed On Leave
The Mansfield mayor was mum on the details, but made it clear in a Tuesday night announcement that the town manager was on leave.

MANSFIELD, CT — Mansfield Town Manager Ryan Aylesworth has been placed on leave, according to a statement released Tuesday night by Mayor Antonia Moran.
Here is her statement in full:
"The Mansfield Town Manager is currently on leave.

"We recognize that our community is concerned and has questions. The Town Council wants to assure you that under Acting Town Manager Chief John Roache and experienced department leaders, the Town is in capable hands and all normal Town services and operations are intact.
"We will update the community as soon as we can."

Town officials are not releasing anymore information at the present time.
In response, the Mansfield Republican Town Committee released a statement:
"With the discovery of an ongoing investigation into Mansfield Town Manager Ryan Aylesworth, who has been placed on administrative leave, Mansfield Republican Town Committee members are demanding that the Democratic majority on the Town Council give residents straight answers.
"Information indicates that Mayor Antonia Moran and Deputy Mayor Ben Shaiken made the decision to place Aylesworth on leave on April 2, 2026.
"Republican Council members were notified of the decision by phone on April 20, 2026.
"No details, formal explanation or public statement was provided or has followed since.
"There are clearly facts that are being withheld from members of the Town Council and the public. Transparency should not be a campaign slogan. It is town policy. The residents of Mansfield deserve to know what is happening in their government."
