WINDHAM, CT — A Mansfield resident was killed in a crash Friday in Windham, state police said.

The crash took place at 2:53 p.m., according to a crash report.

At that time, state police from Troop K and Windham EMS were dispatched to a reported motorcycle and vehicle collision in front of Apollo Pizza located on Route 32 in Windham. According to a crash report, a 2019 silver Ford Explorer was traveling northbound on Route 32 and was in the process of making a left turn into the commercial driveway of Apollo Pizza, a crash report says. A 2009 Suzuki GSX-R750 motorcycle was traveling southbound on Route 32 and struck the right front end of the Ford Explorer, according to a crash report.

The driver and sole occupant of the Suzuki motorcycle flew off the bike and struck a utility pole, according to a crash report.

After the initial collision the Ford Explorer rolled forward and struck the rear end of a parked 2021 white Ram 1500.

The motorcycle driver, identified as 30-year-old Mansfield resident Devan Nolet, suffered serious injuries and was transported by Windham EMS to Windham Hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.

The case remains under investigation, state police said.
