Motorcycle Driven By Mansfield Man Crashes Into Pond: Report

A Mansfield man was seriously hurt after his motorcycle crashed into a pond, state police said.

BROOKLYN, CT — A Mansfield man was seriously hurt after his motorcycle crashed into a pond, state police said.

The crash took place at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday, according to a report.

According to a report, a 2005 Kawasaki Zx636-c1 motorcycle driven by 35-year-old Chad Robinshaw, of Mansfield, was traveling north on Pomfret Road in Brooklyn, about two-tenths of a mile south of Barrett Hill Road.

The bike left the road to the right, ran through brush, and crashed in a small pond, according to a report.

State police said "life-saving measures," were performed on Robinshaw at the scene and he was then taken to Day Kimball Hospital by ambulance and then to UMass Medical center via Life Star helicopter, according to a report.
