New Commercial Building Opening In Coventry

COVENTRY, CT — A new commercial building is set to open in Coventry and it will house a dental practice with room for more.

Dentist Dr. Damon T. Jenkins recently completed construction of what town officials term "a professional office building" at 1572 Boston Turnpike (Route 44) in Coventry.

The 6,500-square-foot building includes space for an additional tenant, town officials said.

Jenkins Dental treats the most basic to the most complex dental problems. Dr. Jenkins is an
Iraq War veteran who performs general dentistry with a specialization in prosthetics. Jenkins
Dental had been operating out of Bynes Falls on South Street since 2010.

A small ceremony is scheduled for Friday at 8:30 a.m. in honor of re-opening the business at the newly built location, town officials said.

"The town of Coventry and the Economic Development Commission wish to acknowledge and
honor the efforts of Jenkins Dental to develop and expand their business Coventry. Contributions like those of Jenkins Dental are critical to enriching the economic growth of the
town and community," town officials said.
