New Opening Date For Flea Market Announced As Mansfield Drive-In Deals With Mud Season

MANSFIELD, CT — There's a new opening date for the flea market at the Mansfield Drive-In, courtesy of the 2026 mud season.

The flea market will now open March 29 to allow time for the grounds to be cleared of snow and mud, according to organizers.

Mansfield Marketplace, eastern Connecticut's largest flea market, runs every Sunday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., rain or shine, with both indoor and outdoor vendors offering a wide variety of goods. Shoppers can find new and used items including plants, produce, antiques and collectibles, clothing, crafts, jewelry, tools and toys.

Parking for buyers is $3 per car for the day, and pets are not allowed.

The drive-in theater season will proceed as scheduled. An opening event known as i-98 Night is planned for April 2, followed by the start of the regular season April 3.

The theater will operate Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays early in the season before expanding to nightly showings during the summer. The venue features three screens, a snack bar and a playground, offering movies under the stars.

Organizers said tickets can be purchased in advance online or by calling 860-456-2578. Gift cards are also available.
