New York Man Charged For Pedestrian Road Rage at UConn

He was found in e roadway early Monday morning, police said.

STORRS, CT β€” A New York man wound up with a pair of criminal charges after he fought with police after being found wandering in the middle of the road on the University of Connecticut campus early Monday morning.

Students moved back onto campus Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

At 12:32 a.m. on Monday, a UConn officer in a marked cruiser was patrolling campus when he came upon Harel Yosef, 21, of Poughkeepsi, NY, walking in the middle of the road, according to a police report.

When the officer asked Yosef what he was doing, Yosef refused to get out of the road and began yelling obscenities at the officer, according to a police report.

He then shoved an officer, according to a report.

He was charged with interfering and the reckless use of a highway by a pedestrian. Yosef was given a Sept. 7 court date, police said.
