Recently, Oak Grove Montessori School has been honored with the Connecticut Green Circle Award in recognition for dedicated work and focus on environmental issues.
The school has made environmental conservation and prevention a part of its foundation and mission.
Bob Hannon, from the CT Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, attended the school's end of the year celebration and presented the prestigious award.
The small school community has been able to show how easy it is to have a huge impact on the environment. The students know that it is everyone's responsibility to care for the larger community.
