Update: One CT Man Dead, Another Injured Thursday Night After UConn Game in NJ
Police say Ellis Snyder, of Old Saybrook, was killed in the accident.

Update: Police say Ellis Snyder, of Old Saybrook, was killed in the accident after the UCONN vs. Duke basketball game. Snyder was a student at the University of Vermont, who was home on break, NBC Connecticut reports.Snyder had attended Xavier High School where he was a well-known student and athlete.
Old Saybrook Selectman Scott Giegrich told NBC his son played baseball with Snyder for years.
“Ellis was on many all-star teams and he played on some of those traveling baseball teams,” Giegrich told NBC, adding that Snyder went on to play baseball at Xavier. “[He was a] second baseman, dynamic young man, with a smile on his face at all times.”

A 20-year-old Connecticut man is dead and another Connecticut man, 19, is injured after an accident between the pedestrians and a car in East Rutherford, NJ shortly after the UConn vs. Duke basketball game there, NBC Connecticut reports.

The men, along with two other pedestrians crossing Rt. 3 in East Rutherford had attended the game. The same car, driven by an unnamed 35-year-old man, struck both pedestrians at about 10:37 p.m., according to NBC Connecticut. The two other pedestrians were not struck or hurt.
