Orlovsky Gets His UConn Degree

The UConn football great shared some big news on social media Friday.

STORRS, CT — University of Connecticut football great and 12-year National Football League veteran Dan Orlovsky shared a proud moment on social media Friday — his degree from UConn.

"Went to UConn in 2001 and left in 2005 without this," he said in a Twitter post.

He showed off his general studies degree on Instagram.

He said years "prodding" and "jokes" by friends, family members and Coach Randy Edsall, "led me to finally get it all done."

He added, "Proud to finally be a Husky Graduate and finish what was started to long ago."

UConn athletics officials sent out a congratulatory message, "Could not be a better ambassador for our program, so proud of everything you have accomplished. Congrats Dan."
