Packaging Snafu Leads To Cinnamon Recall At Price Chopper
Price Chopper issued the recall Thursday.

MANSFIELD, CT — Price Chopper/Market 32 is issuing a voluntary manufacturer recall on 16-ounce bottles of PICS Ground Cinnamon with the UPC 4173505270.
The announcement was made Thursday.
The manufacturer, International Spice, is recalling the product due to a packaging error, officials said. Some containers may contain cumin instead of cinnamon, they said.

Many of the customers who purchased this item have already been contacted through Price Chopper/Market 32's Broadnet recall notification program, which uses purchase data and consumer phone numbers on file in connection with the company's AdvantEdge (loyalty) card to alert those households that may have purchased the products in question.
