MANSFIELD, CT β€” A pedestrian escaped with a minor injury after being hit by a vehicle while using a crosswalk in Mansfield last week, state police said.

According to a state police crash report, a 2013 Ford Focus driven by a 27-year-old Manchester woman was heading south on Route 195 near the University of Connecticut campus at 6:21 a.m. on Feb. 21.

A 17-year-old girl was crossing Route 195 in a marked crosswalk when the car hit her, according to a crash report. State police said the girl suffered a minor leg injury.
