Police Looking for Man Who Robbed Coventry Subway

The Subway was robbed on Friday, police said.

COVENTRY, CT β€” Coventry police are looking for a bandit who held up a local sandwich shop.

On Friday at approximately 3:50 p.m., Coventry police responded to the report of a robbery at the Subway located at 1368 Main St.

Police said the white male is between 5-foot-2 and 5-foot-6 and between 20 and 30 years old. He has a red beard and was wearing dark green long-sleeved shirt, light blue jeans, and a baseball cap, police said.

The man walked into Subway and demanded money by implying a weapon, police said.

The shirt had a white or yellow logo on the left chest area, police said.

The male was also wearing sunglasses, police said.

The male left with an undetermined amount of cash and fled from the scene on foot and may have climbed into into a vehicle nearby, police said.

Police released a surveillance image of the man and are asking anyone who can offer information on his identity to call them at 860-742-7331.
