Restaurant Near UConn Hit With Sanctions, Fine For Liquor Control Violations

MANSFIELD, CT — A popular restaurant near the University of Connecticut that specializes in wood-fired pizza will lose its liquor license for two days and has been fined $7,500 for several violations, state officials said.
State liquor control officials recently announced the sanctions against Square Peg Pizza, located at 9 Dog Lane, in Mansfield.
The business will not be able to sell alcoholic beverages from Jan. 26 through Jan. 28, according to the sanctions.

State officials said the suspension resolves issues concerning several statutes or regulations, including:
- 30-22 (a) RESTAURANT PERMIT (DEFINITION OF)
- 30-39 (b) APPLICATIONS FOR PERMITS, RENEWALS
- 30-6-A9 PERMITEE RESPONSIBLE FOR ACTIONS OF EMPLOYEE OR AGENT
- 30-6-B28(a) SEATING CAPACITY
- 30-86 (b) SALE/DELIVERY TO MINOR
- 30-86a STATEMENT FROM PURCHASER AS TO AGE
- 30-90 LOITERING ON PERMIT PREMISES
