Reward Offered for Historic Quilts That Disappeared From UConn's Dodd Center
Authorities have been looking for them since November.
STORRS, CT — Authorities at the University of Connecticut are looking for a pair of historic quilts taken from the Thomas Dodd Research Center in what appears to be some sort of inside job, a UConn library official said.
The quilts were part of the CT Freeze Collection and went missing missing the day before Thanksgiving, the official said. A $500 reward is being offered by the UConn library for their recovery. They are both about 8 feet long.
The official said the quilts were on display in an area behind the secure area of the Dodd Center, which houses the World War II Nuremberg Trials papers, among other historical archives.

The quilts were about to be moved and then went missing, the library official said. A limited number of people have access to the area where the quilts were on display but an investigation has failed to find them, the official said.
Authorities are asking the public to be on the lookout for them if they turn up at an auction house or on some online service, the library official said.
