Scott Chaurette takes up the baton for the Willimantic Orchestra
Willimantic Orchestra starting its season with rehearsals at E.O. Smith, concerts at ECSU-FAIC

The Willimantic Orchestra welcomes Scott Chaurette to its organization this fall, as the newly appointed conductor. The orchestra is preparing for a new season, with rehearsals continuing at E.O.Smith High School in Storrs CT, while its usual site at ECSU undergoes renovations. David Vaughan retired from conducting the Willimantic Orchestra last spring and after a yearlong search for a new conductor, Scott Chaurette was offered the position which he accepted.
Members of the orchestra are looking forward to the upcoming year with Scott. Rehearsal start Thursday, Sept 7. There will be 3 concerts at the Fine Arts Instructional Center on the ECSU campus.
