Shared Cars Now Available in Storrs
Shared vehicles are available on the UConn campus and in Downtown Storrs.

MANSFIELD, CT — Mansfield residents have a new option to get around without owning a vehicle.
Shared cars are now available at the parking garage in Downtown Storrs and at several locations on
the UConn campus.
Mansfield Downtown Partnership officials said the cars are available for use by both Mansfield residents and UConn students, faculty, and staff who enroll in a national shared car program. More information about the program is available at the front desk of the Nash-Zimmer Transportation Center.

“The Mansfield Downtown Partnership is excited to be able to help bring this program to Downtown
Storrs,” said Partnership Executive Director Cynthia van Zelm. “A shared car program adds to the
number of alternative transportation options for local residents at the Nash-Zimmer Transportation
Center.”
The Nash-Zimmer and the downtown parking garage also features support for additional transportation
alternatives, including bicycles and electric vehicles. On the first floor of the garage, there are four
electrical vehicle charging stations available for public use (parking fees apply). At the Nash-Zimmer,
there are bicycle racks outside available to all, while members of the Town of Mansfield’s Bicycle
Commuter Club can enjoy indoor bicycle storage, showers, and lockers.
