Short Suspension Given To Longtime Willimantic Watering Hole
A restaurant and bar in Willimantic was given a suspension, state officials said.

WILLIMANTIC, CT — A popular watering hole and restaurant close to the Eastern Connecticut State University campus had its liquor license suspended for a day and was fined by the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection's Liquor Control Division.
According to a posting on the agency's website, the reason was "conduct" at Blarney's Cafe.
Blarney's is located at 49 High St. within a short walk to the campus.

The business had its license suspended on Dec. 23 — a Tuesday when school was on break — and it was fined $1,250.
It's been around for more than four decades.
