Snow May Impact Friday Morning Commute in Mansfield

On Wednesday, we wrote there were two snow chances in the upcoming forecast and the good news is, it appears the snow chance originally expected late Saturday and into Sunday is less likely to occur. However, we will be dealing with some snow throughout Connecticut for Friday morning's commute to work.

But this time areas closest to the immediate Connecticut coast will see the most snow, and areas inland will see the least amount. All in all this is definitely not a significant snowstorm.

The National Weather Service has issued a “Hazardous Weather Outlook” for the entire state but that is likely because of the timing of the snow, which will be falling in most places during the morning commute and could make roads slippery.

Here’s a breakdown of how much snow to expect inland in areas of Hartford and Tolland counties:

Snow should fall after 3 a.m. here but end very quickly by 9 a.m.

The National Weather Service says up to an inch of snow is possible but it’s likely to be less than that. It will be cold with temps around 22 degrees.

Connecticut’s Weekend Forecast:

Saturday: Cold, temps in the upper 20s to around 30 degrees. 20 percent chance of some snow in the afternoon at the coast, but no snow is forecast for anywhere else in the state.

Sunday: Sunny, cold, high near 30 at the coast and mid 20s inland.
