Sports Car Crashes Into Home, Parked Vehicles In Mansfield

MANSFIELD, CT — An expensive performance car crashed into a home in Mansfield early Sunday, leaving both the dwelling and cars on the property damaged, state police said.
The crash took place at 2:57 a.m. on Storrs Road, according to a state police report.
According to the crash report, a 2015 BMW I8 was heading south on Storrs road — the local name for state route 195. The car suddenly veered off the road, slammed into a pair of parked cars, hit a house and then a tree, according to the crash report.

The BMW was wrecked, sate police said in the report. Both parked cars — a 2016 Mazda 3i and a 2016 Nissan Rogue — were damaged, as was the front of the home and its porch, according to the crash report.
The driver of the BMW, a 22-year-old with a Willimantic address, suffered a minor injury, according to the crash report.
