State Cops Looking For Driver After Pickup Has Close Call With Dumpster In Mansfield

MANSFIELD, CT — A hit-and-run driver fled the scene after a close call with a dumpster in Mansfield, state police said.

State police recently released a crash report on the incident.

According to the crash report, at 9:15 p.m. on Feb. 6, a silver pickup truck, believed to be a Toyota Tacoma, was headed west on Eble Marsh Way. The driver was turning left into a condominium complex when the pickup left the road and hit fencing around a dumpster, according to the crash report.

The truck also hit a metal gate support pillar, according to the report.
