State Police Chase Down Wanted Man in Mall Parking Lot in Mansfield

The man had several larceny warrants to his credit, state police said.

MANSFIELD, CT — An eastern Connecticut man with a history of theft was chased down on foot and apprehended after his latest incident at the East Brook Mall, state police said.

Kykle Woodmansee, 27, of Brooklyn, CT, was charged on Saturday with sixth-degree larceny and interfering after he was caught shoplifting and ran from Kohl's, st ate police said.

When state police arrived at 3:42 p.m. to investigate a larceny complaint, Woodmansee ran across the East Brook Mall parking lot, crossed state Route 195 and wound up being caught in the parking lot of the local Staples, state police said.

Police said there were several outstanding warrant for his arrest on several larceny charges ranging from the third to the sixth degrees, state police said.

He was held over the weekend on a $5,000 bond and has a Jan. 4 court date, state police said.
