State Police Investigating 'Suspicious' Death in Willimantic

WILLIMANTIC, CT — State police detectives from Eastern District Major Crime Squad are investigating a suspicious death at 621 Valley Street. in Willimantic.

The body was discovered on Wednesday at 7:15 a.m. and the death was ruled suspicious, according to a police report. The Willimantic Police Department and the States Attorney’s Office requested the assistance of squad members.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will conduct a post-mortem examination to determine cause and manner of death, and render a positive identity, state police said.

The name of the deceased is being withheld pending confirmation of positive identity and next of kin notification, state police said.
