State Police Looking for Child Stalker in Eastern Connecticut
The suspect is driving a white utility van, state police said.

State police said they are looking for the driver of a white utility van who might be stalking children in eastern Connecticut.
On Thursday at 1:22 p.m., The resident trooper's office in Sprague was dispatched to the River Street area in the Baltic section of town because a juvenile reported being followed by a white van, possibly a Ford E350, with a utility rack on its roof, according to a news release.
The juvenile told police that the van was being driven by a white man who appeared to be in his 40s wearing a gray tattered shirt and black shoes with a tattoo in his left arm. The man stopped and tried to coerce the juvenile into the vehicle, state police said.

The juvenile ran to the nearest residence and the van sped off, state police said.
A similar incident was reported about a half-hour later in Plainfield, state police said.

State police said they were unsure where the van was headed. State police released an image they believe represents the van.
