State Police Raid Eastern Connecticut Residence, Seize Heroin

A man was taken into custody.

THOMPSPN, CT - State troopers said they broke up a drug store Wednesday evening.

After the raid, Lance Garcia, 28, of 13 Ravenelle St., Thompson, was arrested and charged with heroin possession and possession withthge intent to sell, state police said.

He was assigned a court date of July 27 in a $25,000 bond, state police said. 1. Possession of Heroin 21a-279a

On Wednesday at about 6 p.m., members of the Troop-D Quality of Life Task Force, the Statewide Narcotics Task Force-East Office, and state police from Troop D executed a narcotics-related search and seizure warrant at Garcia's residence, according to an arrest report. The search warrant was obtained after an investigation revealed that Garcia was selling heroin from the dwelling, state police said.

When police entered the residence, they found "numerous" bags of heroin, pre-packaged for sale, Suboxone pills and "cutting agents," according to an arrest report.
