July 31
ELLINGTON, CT — Jolene Barnard, 39, of Ellington, was charged with a criminal violation of a protective order after a domestic disturbance, state police said. The incident was on Minor Hill Road at 7:19 p.m., state police said.

July 30
WILLINGTON, CT — State police are investigating the reported theft of a motorcycle from Daleville Road. The motorcycle, a 2012 Suzuki sport bike, was chained to a tree. The the chain and stole the bike, state police said. Anyone who may have witnessed the crime can call Troop C at 860-896-3200.

July 29
TOLLAND, CT — Albert Charles, 49, of Hartford, was charged with having weapons in a vehicle, speeding and driving under the influence after a traffic stop on Interstate-84, state police said. The weapon was a machete found in the vehicle, state police said. He was pulled over at 8:28 p.m., state police said.
SOMERS, CT — A Springfield man is facing a second-degree larceny charge for allegedly stealing two rings worth more that $10,000 from a Somers residence, state police said The incident was on April 30 and Angel Cordero, 49, of Springfield, MA, was charged last Thursday on a warrant, state police said. He appeared on court the next day and remained in custody in Monday on a $50,000 bond, according to judicial system records. The home where the rings were stolen is on Lovers lane, state police records indicate.
