State's Attorney: Toxicology to Play Important Role with Investigation into UConn's Student's Death
Investigators are still waiting for the results.

STORRS, CT – The chief prosecutor for Tolland County said Thursday he is still waiting for the toxicology results related to the death of UConn student Jeffny Pally.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner said that the 19-year old’s death was ruled accidental from blunt trauma to the head and torso.
Just after 1 a.m., she was sitting against a garage door at UConn fire headquarters, according to a police report. The door to Bay 7 then opened when a call, later determined to be a false alarm, came in. A fire captain leaving the garage in a department sport utility vehicle then hit her, according to a police report.

The captain remained on an administrative duty assignment on Thursday, UConn spokeswoman Stephanie Reitz said.
Pally, an allied health major, was from West Hartford.

Reitz would not comment on the circumstances surrounding the false alarm, citing the ongoing investigation by state police.
Tolland County State's Attorney Matthew Gedansky said the toxicology report would be an important part of that report when it hits his desk.
"The test will show what substances might have been present at the time," he said. He then added the results and might even help show the circumstances "that led her" to the location.
