Store Employee Charged In Counterfeit Buy-Return Scam: Cops

An employee of a Mansfield store is facing larceny and forgery charges as part of a merchandise return scam, state police said.

MANSFIELD, CT — An employee of the Mansfield T.J. Maxx is facing larceny and forgery charges as part of a merchandise return scam, state police said.

Lismar Vazquez-Cambrelen, 26, of Chaplin was arrested on Feb. 16 and charged with second-degree forgery and sixth-degree larceny, according to a report. She is due in court on March 4, rercords show.

According to a report, Vazquez-Cambrelen is accused of changing prices on merchandise and then refunding money to herself, while employed at the store. It was part of a scam involving counterfeit money, according to a report.
