Storm Knocks Tree Onto Route 195 In Mansfield

MANSFIELD, CT — High winds from an overnight storm knocked wires onto a section of state Route 195 Friday.

The state Department of Transportation reported the incident at 7:55 a.m.

Route 195 was closed at Puddin Lane, because of the wires on the road, DOT officials said.

Eversource Energy was reporting 1,165 power outages in town.

A resident of the Eagleville section of town reported to Patch that a traffic light was out at the intersection of Route 32 and South Eagleville Road, which is state Route 275.
