Storrs Obituary: Florence Waxman, 89

Florence (Fay) Waxman, 89, widow of Sidney Waxman, died May 5, 2017.

Born in Providence, Rhode Island, Florence lived in Storrs for 59 years. She was a daughter of the late Max and Bertha Dix. Florence found joy each day in her framing studio, watching wildlife, and reading. She shared that joy with all who knew her.

She was predeceased by her siblings, Selma Paparian and Rose, Louis, Benjamin, Heimi, Albert, Charles, and Sidney Dix.

Florence leaves three children: Howard, Deborah, and Paul Waxman; daughter-in-law Cynthia; and two grandchildren: Sarah and Mattias.

To honor her wishes, there will be no funeral service.
