Teen Pinned By Rolling Car During UConn Move-In Weekend Dies
A teen who was hit by a car while helping a UConn student move into a residence hall has died, officials said.

STORRS, CT — A teen who was seriously hurt when a rolling vehicle pinned him against a building during move-in weekend at the University of Connecticut has died, authorities said.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner office Wednesday confirmed the 16-year-old's death and cited complications from blunt injuries to his head and torso as the cause. The incident was also ruled an accident.
The boy's name has not yet been released.

The initial call came in just before 10 p.m. on Aug. 27. UConn emergency personnel were told that a person had been stuck by a vehicle at the North Residence Halls complex. A university spokeswoman said a 16-year-old, who is not a UConn student, was helping a UConn student move in at a residence hall, and tried to stop a vehicle that was "out of gear" and had started to roll.
The teen was taken by ambulance to Connecticut Children's Medical Center.
