Dear Mansfield Families,
I have just finished listening to President Biden address the nation once again after a school shooting. Today’s tragedy in Texas is the latest in a list of school shootings; a list that should not even exist. Events like today’s leave us all feeling sadness, sympathy, and concern. I am sure you join me in keeping the families and staff of Robb Elementary School in our thoughts and prayers.

These events strike at the core of our work in schools. They make us reflect on our own actions and consider what more we can do. Please know that the safety and well-being of your children and our staff are always our priority. We have strong safety plans and effective practices for the physical safety of our buildings. We also have well-developed programs that support children emotionally and create a sense of belonging. We will be prepared tomorrow to support students in any way needed. Please feel free to reach out to school staff if we can assist you or your child. In addition, you may find this resource from the National Association of School Psychologists of interest.
